GEORGE EADS TO HELP THE NATIONAL DISTRICT ATTORNEYS ASSOCIATION LAUNCH ITS FIRST PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS

George Eads, whose fame is skyrocketing as one of the lead actors on the phenomenally popular show -- Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), will lend his voice to the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA) for the first in its series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs).

George’s father, Arthur C. “Cappy” Eads, was a past president of NDAA, and the highly respected and successful prosecutor and District Attorney of Bell County Texas for over three decades. He is a legend. According to Cappy, “George grew up understanding the rigorous life of a prosecutor and the importance strong values, honesty and seeking the truth in the criminal justice system.” George’s pride in his father is straightforward, and his willingness to help NDAA launch its PSA’s unhesitating.

Since the time of Perry Mason, frequently, and unintentionally, a negative perception of prosecutors has been presented to the public. Shows like Crime Scene Investigation (CSI), are among the few that demonstrate how important it is to provide prosecutors with the most accurate information and evidence possible – so that prosecutors can establish guilt or innocence. Prosecutors are the people’s attorneys. Their goal is to find the truth, hold the guilty accountable and make America a safer place for law-abiding citizens to work, live and raise their children.

Kevin P. Meenan, president of NDAA stated, “we are very fortunate and honored to have George Eads participate in these inaugural PSAs. Public safety across America is of profound importance to prosecutors. George’s willingness to help get our message across is greatly appreciated by the prosecution community.” The PSA’s will be launched in January.

Newman Flanagan, Executive Director of NDAA, said he “shares in the enthusiasm of prosecutors concerning these PSA’s and hopes that all Americans will gain a better understanding that prosecutors are on the side of innocent victims of crime.”

NDAA, with approximately 7,500 members, represents the interests of over 30,000 local prosecutors in 2,700 jurisdictions across America – who prosecute more than 95% of the nation’s criminal cases.
